This private residence on a secluded property east of Columbus Ohio attempts to pull the natural amenities of the beautiful site into the home. A south facing porch is the arrival to home, and the dominant theme of the residence. Arrival, gathering, family, friends, nature, water, trees…the porch is the central organizing element from which the living, dining, kitchen revolve.
Cypress ceilings, metal panel exterior skin, with a hybrid structure of steel and regional white oak timbers compose the exterior shell.
